Brand New Factory Fresh Import Model

The Nikon D7500 is a powerful DX-format DSLR with a wide range of versatile features that make it ideal for both photographers and videographers. The D7500 comes equipped with a 20.9 MP CMOS sensor paired with the EXPEED 5 image processor, which allows continuous shooting at 8 fps for up to 100 JPEGs, a native sensitivity range to ISO 51,200 that goes up to ISO 1,640,000, and 4K Ultra HD video and time-lapse recording. This great camera also includes a 51-point Multi-CAM 3500FX II autofocus system, with 15 cross-type points for fast performance and extremely accurate tracking of subjects, in various lighting conditions.

The body of the Nikon D7500 has a smooth profile and monocoque, construction that make it easy to handle and very comfortable. It includes a 3.2" 922k-dot touchscreen with tilting design for low and high shooting angles and a pentaprism optical viewfinder. This camera is apt for working in several environmental conditions because its physical design is fully weather-sealed. It also allows wireless transferring of photos and movies, as well as remote control over the shutter, thanks to the SnapBridge Connectivity Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.

20.9 MP CMOS Sensor paired with EXPEED 5 Image Processor

The 20.9 MP DX-Format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 5 image processor provide an excellent mixture of high sensitivity, image quality and fast performance. With its default values, the D7500 has a sensitivity between ISO 100-51200 that allows working in a wide range of lighting conditions. Plus, the sensitivity can be expanded to ISO 50-1640000 (Lo 1 to Hi 5) for more challenging situations. The balance between resolution and sensor size helps achieve cleaner images with better quality, smooth color transitions and reduced noise, all through the sensitivity range.

On top of improving quality, the EXPEED 5 image processor also boosts the speed of the entire camera system, up to a top continuous shooting rate of 10 fps with full-time autofocus and exposure metering. The D7500 can record up to 100 JPEGs or 50 14-bit lossless compressed NEF files in a single burst.

Video Recording in 4K Ultra HD

The Nikon D7500 supports video recording in 4K UHD at 24, 25 and 30 fps and Full HD/HD at up to 60 fps. It also gives the possibility to save movie files to the in-camera memory or as an uncompressed file to an external recorder through an HDMI port. There are three image area options available, that guarantee maintained quality and versatility:

The 4K UHD movie image format provides a 1.5x gain in the effective focal length of the lens in use and is exclusive for recording in 4K 3840 x 2160.

The 1.3x-based movie image area provides a 1.3x cut of the DX sensor available for recording in Full HD and HD.

The DX-based movie image format uses the full with of the DX-format sensor and is available for recording in Full HD 1920 x 1080 and HD 1280 x 720. This setting provides the widest field of view and is recommended for shallow depth of field effects.

The same range of sensitivities available for still shooting is available for recording in different light conditions, ISO 100-1640000. The sensitivity value is manually adjustable on the movie-shooting menu. In addition, the camera comes with a video-optimized Flat Picture Control mode that allows smoothing of the contrast curve for post-production handling.

For a better handheld shooting, the Nikon D7500 comes equipped with Electronic Vibration Reduction available when recording in Full HD and HD. This feature minimizes the effects of camera movements over the horizontal, vertical and rotational axes. Plus, the Active D-Lighting feature can be employed when recording in Full HD and HD to retain highlight and shadow detail when working in high-contrast situations.

Regarding handling, a power aperture button (Pv) allows smooth, continuous exposure transitions when alternating between dark and light areas, and the Auto ISO feature makes it possible to keep a consistent brightness in changing light scenarios.

Audio recording can be done using the built-in stereo microphone or with an external mic connected to the 3.5 mm stereo jack, for better quality. Either option offers 20 audio levels and live monitoring with the headphone jack.

On top of movie recording, the D7500 enables time-lapse recording, with up to 9999 consecutive frame shots over up to one week, with a 4K UHD/30p output from the camera.

Multi-CAM 3500FX II Autofocus System with 51 distinct points

The Nikon D7500 comes with a 51-point Multi-CAM 3500 FX II autofocus system that employs 9, 21 or 51 points, with AF detection sensitivity down to -3 EV. To ensure greater accuracy to subjects located on the center of the image, the autofocus system provides an additional 15 cross-type points integrated with the 51-point array. With the benefits of using telephoto lenses and teleconverters, the center-most point is sensitive down to an aperture of f/8. In order to maintain focus on moving objects when shooting at high continuous shooting speeds, a 3D tracking feature is implemented as part of the intelligent Scene Recognition System.

Other autofocus functions available are Dynamic-area AF, Auto-area AF, Group-Area AF, Single-point AF and 3D tracking, all with up to 51 points selectable.

When shooting still or recording movies, the live view offers a contrast-based AF system that allows precise focus acquisition and functions in continuous, full-time servo mode to adapt better to moving subjects.

Practical Body Design

The large 3.2" 922k-dot touchscreen is very easy to use and perfect for live view shooting and playback control. It has a tilting design that allows shooting from low and high angles.

The Nikon D7500 includes a bright pentaprism optical viewfinder. It offers complete frame coverage and a magnification of 0.94x for a realistic view, regardless of lighting condition.

The body of this camera is a monocoque-type carbon-fiber construction which is durable, lightweight and comes with a deep right-hand grip for stable and comfortable handling. The body has a weather-sealed design that allows shooting in any environmental condition. It is perfect for shooting all day long with long zooms and telephoto lenses.

The built-in flash (hidden, pops up when needed) can provide additional lighting when working in low-light conditions. The camera can also be connected to an external Speedlight, and when used with the optional WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller, the camera can control up to three SB-500 Speedlights.

The shutter unit is tested for up to 150,000 cycles to ensure long-lasting use. In order to correct variances, the integrated shutter monitor automatically calculates the time lapse between front and rear movements.

The included battery is an EN-EL15a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It is CIPA-rated to last approximately 950 shots per charge.

SnapBridge connectivity: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

The Nikon D7500 uses SnapBridge connectivity as a built-in feature that allows fast transferring of images and remote controlling. The camera can communicate with a smart device via Wi-Fi BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). This enables shooting from a distance, with a live view image display in the device and remote shutter triggering.

Intelligent Scene Recognition System with Exposure Metering

The Nikon D7500 comes equipped with a 180k-pixel RGB sensor used by the Intelligent Scene Recognition System with 3D Color Matrix Metering III in order to evaluate and analyze scenes. This feature contemplates colors, brightness, contrast and distance to determine the optimal exposure and white balance settings to best render the scene.

The data from the Intelligent Scene Recognition System is stored and used to check against reference images to ensure consistent settings from image to image.

Other Useful Camera Features

Automatically bracketed exposure is enabled for up to 9 frames with 1/2 or 1/3 EV steps between frames.

The Active D-Lighting feature helps maintain both highlights and shadows in detail when working in contrast-rich situations. Using the processing power of the EXPEED 5, the D7500 can produce images with brightness values closer to how the naked eye sees them.

Another feature of this camera is the Auto ISO sensitivity control that enables selecting a shutter speed with that minimizes camera shaking, and then sets the ISO value automatically according to the scene. It is also possible to set a maximum sensitivity level to maintain overall noise levels.

Setting the white balance is easy with the Spot White Balance control for live shooting. All that is needed is to point to the desired white area in the frame.

It is possible to combine up to 10 different exposures into a single image with the Multiple Exposure mode. This mode also allows saving the final composite image or the 10 separate shots.

The Nikon D7500 is equipped with an MC-DC2 port for connecting accessories such as remote shutter releases.

The camera can record RAW (NEF) files as lossless compressed or uncompressed files at 12 or 14-bit depth.

It is possible to apply sets of adjustment to raw files, including several files at once.
