The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Zoom Lens is a professional zoom lens with an excellent optical performance. This lens has minimal chromatic aberration in the periphery at wide-angle and reduced color blurring around the edges of the subject thanks to its Super UD lens element and its two UD lens elements. Plus, the Canon EF 24 70mm also has reduced spherical aberration over the entire image area through the full zoom range thanks to the integration of the two types of aspherical lenses. The lens features optimized coatings to help minimize ghosting and ensure notable color balance.

The high-speed CPU with optimized AF algorithms and ring-type USM make autofocusing quick and quiet. The construction of the Canon EF 24 70mm includes dust sealing, water resistance, and fluorine coatings on the front and rear lens to reduce fingerprints and smearing. The 9-blade circular diaphragm creates beautiful backgrounds. The zoom lock at the read side of the lens makes it safer to transport when attached to an EOS DSLR camera.
