The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 ED VR Lens is a complete zoom lens with the ability to shoot wide angle to super telephoto focal lengths. This powerful lens has a zoom range of 18-300mm, equivalent to the 27-450mm of the 35mm format, making it ideal for a large range of shooting situations.

The Nikon 18 300 can achieve quick and quiet autofocusing for both still shooting and video with the Silent Wave Moto and with internal focusing, that keeps the lens design compact. The Vibration Reduction technology stabilizes images optically to reduce camera movement and shaking to get up to 4 extra stops of light when shooting handheld.

The image quality is considerably improved by the three aspherical and extra-low dispersion glass elements that maximize contrast and minimize flare and ghosting. The Nikon 18 300 is also equipped with 7 rounded diaphragm blades for smooth out-of-focus areas and a 67mm front filter thread.

• Minimum focusing distance of 1.6' and maximum magnification of 0.32x.

• Lens construction of 16 elements in 12 groups.

• When used in DX crop mode the Nikon 18 300 works on FX-format cameras.

• The three extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements help reduce the effects of chromatic aberrations and preserve optimal sharpness and contrast of the lens.

• Three aspherical lens elements minimize coma and other aberrations, correct the distortion and keep the lens smaller and lighter.

• Super Integrated Coating practically eliminates ghosting and reduces flaring, keeping a crisp image on the entire the frame.

• The M/A switch can lock the focus ring during autofocus, and yet allows manual focus when the ring is turned.
