The G3D Fire Rescue—a slightly larger, longer-running version of the G2DF—is a compact, variable-output flashlight developed for firefighters, paramedics, EMS personnel and other emergency first-responders. MIL-STD-810 rated, which includes testing safe in most explosive atmospheres. Constructed of tough, corrosion-proof Nitrolon® polymer and hard-anodized aluminum, the G3DF features a virtually indestructible, power-regulated LED and a micro-textured reflector to produce a smooth beam at three output levels. Press the tailcap switch—operable even while wearing heavy gloves—for a 15-lumen low-output beam that's perfect for closer work, provides maximum runtime, and helps preserve night-adapted vision; release and press again for a 60-lumen, extended-runtime beam for general use; release and press again for the maximum 115-lumen output—nearly six times the light of a larger two-D-cell flashlight.
The G3DF's beam can be customized with three removable micro-lens inserts (included) that simultaneously diffuse the beam and control its divergence angle. The 20° divergence insert provides maximum lateral area coverage and the least amount of reflected light, appropriate for close work such as medical assistance; the 10° insert gives you a diffused beam with the most reach; and the 15° insert provides a balance between these two. The fluorescent yellow color and reflective body stickers make it easy to find if dropped—crucial if you're a firefighter, EMT, search and rescue team member, or public safety or utilities worker. An extra-long fluorescent breakaway lanyard allows the light to be pocketed out of the way yet remain securely attached when needed.
